The end of the second fundraising quarter is arriving and Jon Tester
needs our help.
Jon is the right candidate for Montana. A generation ago, Montana was represented in the US Senate by Mike Mansfield and Lee Metcalf, Democratic giants who led not just Montana, but the nation. Mansfield was the epitome of a good man, personally, and a statesman, politically. They were the sort of leaders we see all too rarely in the US Senate. Paul Wellstone was another -- not because of his deepset liberalism, but because of his deeply held principles. Jon Tester is a politician of principle. I had the pleasure of seeing him yesterday, meeting Missoulians, and speaking at a meet-and-greet. Much of his talk focused on the importance of integrity in government.
Readers of
Left in the West have already donated $170 for
Jon Tester. We want to beef that up. So a few of the writers here are offering to throw an extra $100 toward Big Jon Tester's campaign if we can turn that $170 into $1,000 by the end of the day on June 30th. In order to give us time to get our donations in by the midnight deadline, we'll make the contributions if we hit $1,000 by 8 PM on Thursday, June 30th.
In other words, your donation will be matched to the tune of $.10 on the dollar. We ain't rich, but it's something we can afford.
To donate and have your contribution count toward the $1,000 challenge, visit our ActBlue donor page. $20, $35, or $50 will get us a long way toward the $1,000.
Thanks for your help.
